Returns & Exchange Policy
This Policy governs the terms for returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made from Yellow Marigold.
1. Eligibility for Return or Exchange
Your purchase may be eligible for return or exchange only if:
- You received an incorrect product (different from what you ordered).
- You received a product with a manufacturing defect.
Note: If your package was received damaged or defective, it must be reported within 48 hours of delivery as specified in the Shipping & Payment Policy. Such cases will be handled under that policy, and are not eligible for return under this section.
Also, all our products are handmade by artisans, slight variations in colour, pattern, or finish are part of their unique craftsmanship and do not qualify as defects.
2. Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
- Products purchased during sale or promotional offers (unless damaged in transit and reported within 48 hours).
- Items where delivery was refused, address was incomplete/incorrect, or delivery failed after three attempts.
- Products showing signs of use, tampering, or missing original tags, packaging, or invoice.
3. How to Request a Return or Exchange
- Email hello@yellowmarigold.in within 48 hours of delivery to initiate your request.
- Include the following details:
- Order number
- Delivery address
- Reason for return or exchange
- Photographs showing the issue (if applicable)
- Requests made after 48 hours of delivery will not be accepted.
- Once your request is approved, our team will schedule a pickup from your address within 4–5 working days.
4. Product Condition for Returns
Please ensure that returned items are:
- Unused and unwashed
- In original packaging with all tags, labels, and invoices intact
- Securely packed to avoid damage during transit
If the returned product fails quality inspection, it will be shipped back to you and no refund/exchange will be processed.
5. Inspection & Confirmation
Once the returned product reaches our warehouse, we will inspect it within 48 working hours.
If approved, we will proceed with either:
- An exchange for the same or similar item (if available), or
- A credit/refund as per the terms below.
6. Refunds & Credits
- Refunds (for prepaid orders) will be processed via the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval.
- For Cash-on-Delivery orders, a credit coupon of equal value will be issued, minus any applicable shipping or handling fees.
7. Exchanges
- Replacement products (if available) will be dispatched within 4–5 working days after receipt and approval of the returned item.
- If the requested product is unavailable, we will issue a credit voucher or refund as per Section 6.
8. Tampered or Damaged Packages at Delivery
If your package appears tampered or damaged upon delivery, please do not accept it.
Inform the delivery personnel immediately and contact us at hello@yellowmarigold.in within 48 hours.
We will arrange for a replacement or order fulfilment as outlined in the Shipping & Payment Policy.
9. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update this Returns & Exchange Policy at any time. The latest version published on our website shall apply to all purchases.
